About Us

Canopy Landscapes and Maintenance was co-founded by Michael Lo and Stanley Yu in 2002.

Mike started Canopy Landscapes and Maintenance with his cousin and business partner Stan, and built the business from the ground up.  Through hard work, determination and superior customer service, Mike and Stan have established Canopy as a premier landscaping company in the Greater Houston area.

Mike was raised in Houston and graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Business. 

After college, Mike pursued a career in finance.  He built over a 50 million dollar book of clients at UBS/Paine Webber with a concentration in fixed income during his 10 year tenure in the business.  After deciding to leave the finance industry, Mike followed his entrepreneurial spirit and started a landscaping company.

Stan was born and raised in Houston and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Genetic Engineering. 

Stan was highly recruited in college and accepted a job with Bayer Corp. as a Process Control Engineer.  After climbing the corporate ladder and receiving many professional accolades, Stan decided to start his own business in landscaping.
